National Law & Courts Conference on Pandemic Influenza (NLCPI) is a sub-conference of the World Response Conference on Global Outbreak – H1N1 Flu and H5N1 Flu (WRCGO 2009). It is the first national conference on full multi-level response gathering of all the state public health, law enforcers, corrections, judiciary, and state leaders to strengthen policies and initiatives for their domestic preparation in the aspect of prevention, protection, response, and recovery for the possible co-occurrence of AH1N1 and AH5N1 in the same area, in their own state jurisdiction & governance. National Law & Courts Conference on Pandemic Influenza (NLCPI) mission is to lead all states initiatives for pandemic influenza parallel to the major components of the justice system while supporting the urgent endeavors of the public health, scientific and medical society, businesses, and consumers. The states judiciary leadership roles and the Rule of Law is the major highlight of this conference, to have a national system for continuing to plan for crisis prevention and response management during the event of possible co-occurrence of H1N1 Flu and H5N1 flu, a national system guided by research and public health that conforms to the Rule of Law, on the national and international context. Attendees from the justice professionals, private business sectors, nonprofit organizations, and academia are expected on this event to be updated with the latest headline-grabbing cross –discipline discussions, legal issues, policies, latest information and resources on operational issues such as on workloads, trade restrictions, travel restrictions, quarantine and thermal scanning, human rights, emergency declaration and etc. Tabletop Exercises with a focused- Scenarios Relating to the Impact of Public Health Emergencies, Private Sectors, and on Court Administration will also be the highlight of this conference. |
